History
The International Association for Computational Intelligence (IACI) was officially established on April 10, 2024, in Hong Kong under the affiliation of the International Institute of Innovation (Hong Kong). Founded by Prof. Kaoru Hirota and Prof. Yaping Dai, IACI was created to promote open and trustful international cooperation in computational intelligence and related fields, and to advance research, innovation, and engineering applications. Although formally founded in 2024, IACI is built upon a long-standing academic foundation developed through its two international conference series, ISCIIA and IWACIII. Over nearly two decades, these conferences have supported sustained academic exchange, connected researchers across countries and institutions, and attracted distinguished scholars, including academicians and IEEE Fellows, helping shape the association’s international and interdisciplinary character.
